The Changing Face of Saudi Women: addario_14

Saudi and foreign women attend a fashion show launching the Spring and Summer collections in the Crystal room at Harvey Nichols in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 2015. In the comfort of no-men-allowed settings, like this fashion show put on by an Italian stylist in a Riyadh store, Saudi women of means explore different styles. Models like this one are often foreign, as that role is still seen as risqué. A woman’s new party dress and eye makeup might be seen only by her husband and female friends; for those who can afford these things, they’re enticing nonetheless.
